Calm the Clutter is committed to operating its busines in a fair, open and ethical manner. We make every effort to protect the privacy of clients and third parties with whom we conduct business and to adhere to the letter and spirit of the General Data protection Regulations (GDPR). Your personal data will only be used in accordance with the law and this privacy statement.

Data collected

In the course of business we will collect your name and contact information including your address, email address and phone numbers. Due to the nature of our business we will obtain some basic information about your property, items in it and storage systems you have. We are likely to acquire information and communications during the conduct of business on paper, via face-to-face conversations, by telephone and electronically.

With your permission we may take photographs of your home. These will be used to conduct our busines with you for example to review progress. We may seek your permission to use photography such as before and after pictures for our publicity purposes but will only ever use these with your permission. We may occasionally seek a client’s permission to capture videography. Any photography or videography used by us will be anonymised so that you, your property or your family cannot be identified. You may withdraw your consent at any time to our use of such materials.

What we do with the information we hold

We will use your information for billing, communications and to provide our service. Your data will remain in our client records, which may be held on paper or in computer systems including mobile devices. We hold email archives of communications between us unless you request otherwise. We may process the information we hold in manual and electronic systems for the purpose of carrying out our business and serving clients. We will only ever use appropriate propriety software. We may periodically send emails about our services or other information which we think you may find interesting. You have the right to opt out of these at any time.
